Novels

I will be reading from my new novel, Little Jack Horner at University Central Lancashire, Preston in May.   The main character of this novel -Delroy Johnson- was a side character in the last novel I wrote called Yard Dogs.  I wanted to explore him more.  I've had two reading groups feed back on Little Jack Horner, during the readings I did in April.  The novel is written in two parts, each part told from a different perspective.  The pleasing thing was these readers  felt I wrote the Asian family perspective well - I've never done such a thing before and I was uncertain whether I had pulled it off!

I am still working on another novel, a collaboration with an author friend.  It's called, Funny Money -three years we've been writing it so far.   I will be doing some extensive research writing and rewriting and polishing and cursing and rewriting and polishing and -well the usual routine to try to get it into final shape; so hopefully it will be complete by August!

Blog

I have the rough start of a Blog going at:

I might get a fuller one going by the end of the year- fuh true my life's full of enough material for Blog!

Films

The 'No Trace' film bandwagon rolls on.  We have the stage adaptation almost done now...

We should be showing the film in Oldham in October with a bit of luck.

No Trace, the film, scripted by myself, directed by Kooj Chuhan and based on the main character of  my new novel, Little Jack Horner was previewed last December as part of the launch of Little Jack Horner. The film features 'brimful of talent' Manchester actor, Brian Morgan and another amazing actor in Shauna. I will try arrange some more viewings.  I'm pleased with it because it does not 'drag': It is 19 minutes long and flies past in the blink of an eye.

If any of you have read the novel, you can post reviews up at amazon.co.uk - still the first point of call for many people who want to buy books, and the reviews of books there are always enjoyable!  Thanks Vijay for that first review on Amazon.

And lots of details on Little Jack Horner  are available at www.suitcasebooks.info under the books page - click 'Little Jack Horner' in the left side menu.

Storytelling

Let's just say its busy.

I am very close to finished working on a story which marks the 200th anniversary of the British parliamentary abolition of the  slave trade - as that sorry saga is euphemistically described.   The book version is coming along brilliantly, thanks to illustrator Ian Bobb, and we have an animation expert on board now so it's all looking promising.

Here are photos/videos loaded on 'Flickr', 'Boxnet' and 'Google Video'.

Here are some other storytelling videos of myself.  They are stored on google video. I am constantly adding more videos to them.  If you type my name in 'google video' you can get more than the ones listed below.
